About Bryony

With a First-Class BSc in Nutrition and a passion for helping busy parents achieve better health, Bryony Landricombe founded The Nutrition Hub Dorset to make finding qualified professionals easy!

Currently pursuing an MSc in Nutrition and Behaviour at Bournemouth University, and with a keen interest in gastroenterology and disordered eating, her personal experiences have shaped her understanding and approach to nutrition.

In her private practice, Bryony works with clients to enhance their nutritional status and well-being. She helps them navigate the complex world of nutrition and develop a healthier relationship with food.

Parenthood

Balancing her nutrition business with her MSc studies, Bryony is also a dedicated mother to her 5-year-old daughter. She understands the daily challenges that come with parenting, especially for those juggling multiple responsibilities. As a single parent, Bryony appreciates the difficulty of prioritising personal health amidst the demands of work, family, and self-care. This personal experience drives her passion for helping other parents build realistic, sustainable habits that improve their health and well-being. She aims to provide guidance that fits seamlessly into busy family routines, without adding stress or pressure.

Personal Journey

For many years, Bryony faced an unhealthy obsession with being as thin as possible, as fast as possible, which led to disordered eating and a fixation on 'clean' eating. Although she was never officially diagnosed with orthorexia, she now recognises how this mindset affected both her physical and mental health. Her path to finding balance and building a healthier relationship with food has deeply influenced her approach to nutrition today.

As a Registered Associate Nutritionist, Bryony is dedicated to promoting a realistic, compassionate approach to health. She believes that food should nourish, not control, and that sustainable, balanced choices are essential for long-term well-being. While she does not offer eating disorder support, her personal experience gives her a unique understanding of the pressures many people face. Bryony aims to provide guidance that fosters a positive relationship with food and body, grounded in evidence-based nutrition.

Academia

Bryony's academic pursuits include completed research on the Mediterranean diet and its links to stress, which she conducted for her dissertation. She is also set to assist in research on sugar cravings among alcoholics in recovery and is hoping to undertake personal research into the dietary impacts on eczema in the near future.

Bryony’s commitment to fostering positive relationships with food and nutrition, coupled with her academic and personal insights, allows her to provide tailored support to each individual she works with.

“Bryony has helped me understand the importance of nutrition and gut health, not only for myself but also my baby on our weaning journey. We are by no means at the end of our journey just yet, but Bryony has been such a great support mentally from the struggles of becoming a first time mum. We feel so much happier, healthier and a lot more energised from a combination of eating better foods and sleeping better at night.”
